P1887 NYE Style Guide
Hello readers! Welcome to the first post from Parlour 1887, consisting of some information meant to assist you with your New Years Eve planning! We’ve chosen some looks that we think are beautiful and invite you to comment and post photos that YOU think are lovely as well.
Why not start 2013 out with lots of volume and texture? Achieve look #1 by first blow drying the hair with Aveda’s Phomoliant and Volumizing Tonic. Then add any necessary texture by curling large sections with 1” to 1⁄2” curling iron. Finish by creating a simple side braid and misting the whole head with Pure Abundance Volumizing Hair Spray. Remember, in this case texture is our friend and not all hairs should be perfect!
If going full and textured is too much work or too intimidating, opt for something a little more smooth and textured instead. Achieve look #2 by blow drying directly straight down the hair strand with Smooth Infusion Style Prep and a few soft mists of Pure Abundance Style Prep. If necessary, finish with a flat iron, and then emulsify a small amount of Light Element Texturizing Crème into the hair from scalp to ends.
Finally, look #3 is an option for our curly haired friends that prefer to utilize their texture in a more natural way. Aveda has recently introduced two brand new members to our Be Curly family and we have seen some beautiful results. Be Curly Curl Controller helps lengthen your curls while controlling unwanted volume and frizz. Apply this to damp hair and either diffuse or twist sections of hair into desired spiral patterns. Once 90% dry, spray new Be Curly Curl Enhancing Hair Spray onto hair. This locks in the curl while finalizing frizz protection.
We invite you to stop in and experience the products listed above and also allow us to give you some extra guidance with these looks, or any other looks posted by readers.
