About Us

When Parlour 1887 was just a glimmer in our eyes, we imagined a comfortable place where women and men alike could feel welcome from the moment they walked through the front door. Our idea was not only to gain clients, but friendships. We wanted everyone to leave knowing that they were always invited back, even for just a cup of coffee. We are happy to say that this dream has become a reality, so if you're looking for a great place to get a new do, or just want to say "hi," come check us out!

Our mission at PARLOUR 1887

Our mission is to make every person feel appreciated as soon as they walk through our doors, feel taken care of their entire stay, and feel beautiful as soon as they leave. We strive to share our passion for beauty with everyone we come in contact with.

Say Hi!

Samantha Blackwell

Owner / Stylist/ Makup Artist

It is my goal to make every client feel comfortable and confident when they come to me for their needs. I have been in the beauty industry for 13 years and absolutely enjoy getting the opportunity to meet new people everyday. Hearing my clients stories is one of the biggest reasons why I love what I do.

Jackie Kalal

Stylist

As a graduate of Xenon International Academy of Omaha, I have always been inspired by some of Omaha's most creative cosmetologists. My passion for hairdressing started at a very young age. Upon graduation, I immediately began an internship, followed by a full time stylist position at a well known Omaha salon. I invite you to come experience the passion for beauty that fuels me and my team.

Anastasia Spracklin

Stylist/ Makeup Artist

As a graduate from Capitol School of Hair Design, I pride myself in having extensive knowledge in all aspects of color, design, and press work. I enjoy making people feel beautiful, and that is what motivates me to do what I do. My passion and experience have helped mold my career, and I am happy to be a part of the Parlour 1887 team.

Ryan Haas

Stylist

I graduated in 2011 from the Xenon International School of Hairstyling, formerly having worked in the screen-printing and automobile industries (not at the same time). In my off-time I even have hobbies such as: puzzle making, friendship, cats, drawing horses, and music.
Hairstyling is an ancient art and people have been growing hair for at least 100 years, that we know of. I’m proud to be a part of that professional tradition. It’s much like being a Freemason but it’s not as creepy and secretive.
In all seriousness, I enjoy being around people and just want to make sure that each customer receives what they wanted and exits the building with a look that they trust and love. Cutting your head-lettuce is not only about making people hairs look perfect, it’s about making the customer’s inner hairs feel perfect too. Annie Butler

Manager/Salon Coordinator

I am the only girl in a family of 4, so beauty fell short to baseball games in my household. As I got older I became more interested in hair, makeup, and fashion. I started cutting my own hair, and ended up in the salon quite often. I decided to apply for a position as a receptionist, and I fell in love with getting to know clients and stylists alike. Although not a stylist, I love the industry, and I strive to continue to educate myself on all aspects of the salon while providing the best customer experience to our clients.

Jo El

Stylist

Ever since childhood, I have immersed myself in the world of art and theater, leading me into the magical playground of hair and makeup. I graduated at Capitol School of Hair and immediately began an internship at an Omaha salon, specializing in live in color and blonding. Through my internship and continued Aveda education I am stoked to apply my knowledge and talent to every Parlour guest I meet, ensuring each guest leaves feeling confident and fabulous AF.

Meg Welch

Stylist/ Makeup Artist

Having Always been enchanted by the creative realms, I was lead on a natural path to this exciting career. Having a formal education background in fine art, as well as being a graduate of Capitol School of Hair styling and Esthetics- I have an eye and passion for beauty. I am beyond delighted to say that I am a part of the team at Parlour 1887.

Dave Timm

Barber

As a College of Hair Design Barber Arts graduate, I pride myself in clean, gentlemen's haircuts, beard trims, and full face shaves rooted in a vintage style. Hairstyles of the past have had a major resurgence- from pompadours, to the classic bald fade, and I am extremely excited to be a part of the team. Parlour 1887 is a fully licensed Barber Shop in the state of Nebraska, and I have the opportunity to provide a full face shave complete with hot towel service and a head and shoulder massage at my client's request.

Quincy Stoddart

Stylist

Growing up with three sisters and a single mom, where crafts and braids were a daily event, is what sparked my love for the hair industry. I graduated from Capitol Hair school, with my class being one of the last taught by the legend, Lyal McCaig. I received the top hair cutter award upon graduation. I now have been working with Aveda for over 10 years and couldn't imagine being without! I love making every guest feel relaxed with a complimentary scalp, neck, and shoulder massage, before creating that perfect look, making my guest feel beautiful inside and out.

Tracy Haas

Salon Coordinator

Although I don’t do hair myself, I have always been interested in it and have worked in salons for the past 7+ years. To me, finding the right cut and color is one of the best ways to make your outward appearance match your inner self. As we evolve, so should our hair! I’m always learning more about this industry, and I’m happy to help you find a stylist that can help you find a look that makes you feel like your best self!

Our Culture

Since the hair industry is so creative, we wanted an outlet for other type of artists to display their work as well. The furniture, styling chairs, and even the stations are all mobile, so we can accommodate various events and shows, anything from art to music to fashion.

We love it here!

Our search for the perfect location for the salon was extremely long. Maybe we're too picky, but nothing seemed to be a perfect fit. That is, until the Benson neighborhood was brought up. We walked through the doors of 6068 Maple street and immediately knew it was where we belonged. Not only was the space perfect, but over the next couple of months we were blown away by the support of the local businesses. I don't think any of us were prepared to meet so many amazing people in such a short period of time. The neighborhood continues to grow day to day, and we're prepared to be a part of it for a LONG time.
