Tonight is the fifth installment of Benson First Friday! Here at Parlour 1887 we will be hosting artist Jane Plagmann, and her work is phenomenal. A little about Jane…
Jane Plagmann grew up in Harlan, IA, where she attended and graduated from Harlan Community High School. She started painting and drawing at the age of 16 and went on to win awards at the Hawkeye 10 Conference art show for her work. Jane now attends the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in studio art and working towards a minor in modern dance. In May of 2012, she traveled to Greece with one of her professors, Michael Hoff, to study classical Greek art and art history. Currently, Jane works in the Eisentrager- Howard Gallery at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a gallery assistant while continuing to practice art.
